Our records retention schedule aligns with the minimum required retention periods for records created by local governments. These schedules are approved by the State Records Committee in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 50-18-92.

If the documents you request fall outside the policies and requirements established by the State Records Committee, we will only certify that the documents reflecting court actions during the time period requested have been destroyed in accordance with the applicable retention schedule and, as a result, are no longer maintained within our records archive.

Submission of this form does not guarantee that responsive records currently exist or are available for release. Requests will be handled in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and retention requirements.
